Some creepy unexplained footage of a ‘ghost’ has been shared on the internet and people are freaking out at the paranormal activity.
While schools often have occurrences which no one wants to take the blame for, the culprit behind the mess made in this video really is a mystery.
The CCTV footage was taken at a school in Ireland, Deerpark CBS, and shows lockers shaking, books flying across the corridor, and the complete destruction of a wet floor sign.
Maybe the ghost died on a slippery floor and wanted to get its revenge?
Take a look here:
Deerpark CBS was founded in 1828, and is the oldest school in southside Cork. Could the visitor be an ex-pupil coming back to take a look around?
The video was taken at 3am, so the disturbances couldn’t have been caused by mischievous kids. As far as the principal of the school knows, the video is real.
The activity begins with a door at the end of the corridor opening and slamming shut with a bang. Seconds later, a whole set of lockers can be seen shaking violently, almost to the point of falling over.
Inexplicably, a single locker then flies open, with its contents spilling out onto the floor.
To top off the terrifying scene, the wet floor sign slams aggressively to the ground, as though it’s been kicked.
The headteacher of Deerpark, Aaron Wolfe, spoke to UNILAD about the strange events.
If it’s a prank we don’t know how it was done. Motion sensors were set off at this time, that’s how it was caught.
The female members of staff do complain that this particular part is extremely cold. It’s also outside the Religion Room – which is weird.
I think every school has their own ghost story, with children spreading rumours about a haunted bathroom or a locked cupboard, but Deerpark’s paranormal presence seems to have a history.
Mr Wolfe said:
Our caretaker has worked in the school for over 30 years he recalls many stories of ‘paranormal activity’.
For example on one occasion the school was hosting an exotic bird show, and the birds arrived the day before, because the organisers were worried that someone might break in and steal the birds, someone had to stay overnight.
That person left the school in the middle of the night – they refused to stay any longer as they said that they heard ‘the last call’ being played on a trumpet – of course this could have just been the wind?!
The school is a spooky place, especially at night, it’s an old fashioned building.
One student George Long was convinced last year he heard someone crying in one of the toilet cubicles. He thought it might be a first year so called the Deputy Principal – there was no one there – maybe moaning Myrtle???
Also, someone on our Facebook page reports that the lights in the building go on and off at night.
Creeped out viewers have been commenting on the video, trying to figure out what’s going on.
One person said:
If this is faked , then how does the locker open with all the books and papers spread in this way? if it would be a wire they would spread more a symetric style but they just randomly spread just as like someone wouldve stood right kn front of it with his hands in the locker pulling all just out. [sic]
SO GHOST/SPIRITS USUALLY STAY WHERE THEY WERE HAPPY IN ACTUAL LIFE….SO MAYBE SOMONE DIED HERE OR THEY LIKE THE SCHOOL [sic]
While the strange activity in the video might never really be fully explained, I can imagine some misbehaving children at Deerpark have tried to use the ‘ghost’ to their advantage.
‘Honestly, the ghost stole my homework’.
