Smoking Loads Of Weed Makes You More Likely To Be ‘A Loser’, Apparently

An international research study has found that people who smoke shit tons of weed are more likely to be losers, apparently.

The study followed children from birth up to the age of 38 and found that individuals who smoked pot four or more days of the week ended up in a lower social class than their parents, reports UCDavis Newsroom.

The regular smokers also experienced more money, work-related and relationship difficulties – which got worse the longer they kept smoking.

That wasn’t the end of it though. The weed-lovers also faced socioeconomic problems in childhood, lower IQ, antisocial behaviour and depression in adolescence and lower motivation to achieve.

Head of the research team, Magdalena Cerdá, said:

Our study found that regular cannabis users experienced downward social mobility and more financial problems.

Long-term users also had more antisocial behaviours at work, such as stealing money or lying to get a job, and experienced more relationship problems.

Avshalom Caspi, a psychologist at Duke University and the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London said:

These findings did not arise because cannabis users were prosecuted and had a criminal record.

Even among cannabis users who were never convicted for a cannabis offence, we found that persistent and regular cannabis use was linked to economic and social problems.

In spite of this, the team admitted their research does not support arguments for or against cannabis legalisation.

However, they say it does show that cannabis was not safe for the long-term users in their study.

I would argue that using any drug to that extent for that amount of time will probably have a negative effect on you…
