Workers Left Terrified After Being Approached By Friendly Dog
I understand how some people have a fear of dogs, especially when they’re big and acting aggressively, but most of the time, they’re just cute, adorable, bundles of joy!
Yet this is the moment a group of workers became terrified after a pit bull wandered into their building.
Harshly, pit bulls have been branded an aggressive and uncontrollable breed of dog – yet this is usually down to irresponsible or idiotic owners, along with negative media coverage. If you wanted to turn an Andrex puppy into a killer, then I’m pretty sure you could!
Which brings us to this clip – which is pretty fuuny! A group of men jumped for the rafters when a pit bull wondered into their place of work.
Check it out below:
The hilarious incident took place in Rodnia, Brazil back in July. The security footage shows staff members going about their everyday tasks, but the uneventful day quickly turns into a panic when a man on his phone spots something, before hastily making a beeline for the closest door to him.
His colleague soon realises what’s spooked him so badly, as he points out the ‘danger’ to the others. Pretty soon after this, all other staff members can be seen making a run for it – either to the back room or on top of the counter at reception.
Turns out, the harmless pit bull was the reason they were all so scared! I don’t understand why though when the poor little pup was clearly just looking for some scraps, or attention – or both.
My mother always told me you should never assume – it makes an ass out of you and me – so these men could learn a thing or two from her!
While the men are out of harms way, cough cough, the good-natured pooch can be seen wagging his/her tail, while sniffing about. The inquisitive little thing even pays a visit to behind the counter at one point.
Eventually though, the staff realise the dog poses no threat whatsoever, and eventually make their way back down to the floor.
According to a staff member who shared the video:
The pit bull escaped from a neighbour’s house and wanted to play with our team members who weren’t having it.
While there are many responsible pit bull owners in the world, unfortunately, there are a minority who train their dogs for nefarious and inhumane purposes. Some owners use pit bulls as a status symbol or means of intimidation.
The same can be said for Staffordshire Bull Terriers, who’ve a fearsome reputation similarly to the pit bull.
Earlier this year, MPs rejected calls from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to add them to the list of banned dog breeds in the UK.
The government debated the matter on July 17, following a submitted proposal from PETA to the government’s consultation on the Dangerous Dogs Act, requesting it to add Staffies to the list.
However, a petition was started which gained over 160,000 signatures urging the government to reject PETA’s recommendation.
If you own a dog – or any animal – be a responsible owner!
