A woman who could claim the title of ‘world’s hottest grandma’ never fails to surprise people when revealing her age.
Alice Vasquez, from California, is often thought to be her daughter’s sister when the pair hang out together, so it comes as even more of a shock when people learn she’s not only a mother, but a grandmother as well.
The yoga teacher gave birth to her first child when she was 16 years old, and three years later she welcomed another little newborn into the world.
Similarly to their mum, Alice’s two kids became parents in their twenties, making the American woman a grandmother in her thirties.
Speaking to the Daily Star, the grandmother explained how some people find it difficult to wrap their heads around the situation, but she and her children are happy with the way their family turned out.
My daughter thinks the attention I get is fun. We motivate each other to live our best life despite the pressure of people judging us.
People think we look like sisters and really think we had a hard life or some drama.
It’s nothing like that… we just both fell in young love, and had kids young. It’s nothing to be ashamed about.
While some grandmas might enjoy putting their feet up on a Friday night, Alice enjoys going clubbing, and admitted she sometimes gets hit on by men 10 years younger than herself.
When men find out I’m a gran, they are instantly amused by the title. They always want to know more about me.
Obviously I don’t look like a grandma – and I actually think men find it hot!
Although many men give her attention, the grandmother is happy in a relationship with a man she previously dated in her twenties, and the couple now live together in Las Vegas.
Earlier this week, Alice shared an Instagram post celebrating her 40th birthday, and was met with lots of good wishes and compliments on her young looks.
One person commented:
Happy birthday beautiful, 40 never looked so good! Hotter than most 20 year olds #goals best wishes!
While another wrote:
Beautiful and gorgeous, happy birthday!
I think Alice will continue to surprise people with her grandma status for many years to come!
