50 Cent Gives Questionable Response To Dave Chappelle Attack

50 Cent has responded to Dave Chappelle being attacked at his Hollywood show.

50 Cent has has responded after comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked at the Hollywood Bowl by someone rushing on the stage.

Towards the end of his set at the 'Netflix Is A Joke' comedy festival on 3 May, an onlooker stormed the stage and tackled the comedian to the ground.

Following the incident, a host of celebrities came out in support of Chappelle – and the latest includes 'Candy Shop' rapper 50 Cent.

While the investigation into what exactly happened is ongoing, clips of the incident and the aftermath have been circulating online.

One clip shows the attacker with a badly injured arm being put into an ambulance.

Eye-witnesses from the event described what they saw, as Los Angeles-based journalist Sharon Carpenter told the PA news agency: “It looked like someone dashed from the side of the stage, lunged at Dave, and all I saw was Dave basically flying in the air.

“He fell backwards onto his back, with his arms and legs up in the air. He was obviously in shock. We were all in shock.

"And I thought for a moment ‘OK, is this a prank?’ because they had made some Will Smith jokes.

“Even though Chris Rock was there, Dave was making some jokes, it was fair game, right?

"He was making some jokes about the situation.”

The situation didn't turn out to be a joke and security officers were said to quickly rush the stage.

Following this, a fair few famous people came out to comment on the situation, among them was 50 Cent.

Taking to Instagram, the rapper shared an article with the headline: "L.A District Attorney Declines Felony Charges for Suspect in Dave Chappelle Hollywood Bowl Attack."

The article follows a report by The Hollywood Reporter, which disclosed that the attacker would be charged with four misdemeanours, but that the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office had declined to file felony charges.

And 50 Cent had a pretty bizarre reaction to the news, writing on his Instagram post: "oh S**t, is the LGBTQ gonna kill dave right in front of us ? he had a weapon a gun, knife how he or she don’t get charged? The world is over, F**k this. @dababy they would have charged your ass for thinking about doing that. LOL."

While it's unclear why 50 Cent brought the LGBTQ+ community into the debate, it may have something to do with Chapelle previously coming under fire and being accused of making transphobic comments.

The attacker has not been confirmed as being a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
