People Think Drake Is Trolling Fans With His New Album

Fans have thoughts on Drake's newest album.

Drake has been the subject of memes and online teasing as of late, but it appears the rapper might be having the last laugh after fans think he’s ‘trolling’ listeners with his new album.

The 35-year-old rapper, born Aubrey Drake Graham, released his new album on Friday after announcing the drop on Instagram just one day before.

The album, named Honestly, Nevermind, now has listeners convinced he’s playing them with the release.

Seemingly worlds away from his previous releases, 2021’s Certified Lover Boy and 2018’s Scorpion, his new album is a step in the direction of house or electronic music genres, and fans seem to be shocked at the performer’s new sound.

One listener wrote: “You cannot tell me Drake isn’t trolling us after this mess of an album #HonestlyNevermind.”

“DUDE IS DRAKE TROLLING WITH THIS ALBUM? WHAT IS THIS BEAT ON CURRENTS?” another fan asked.

“Drake, stop trolling & drop the real album @Drake,” someone else urged.

“Drake’s surprise album was like when your teacher surprises the class with a pizza party and you end up with this,” one fan quipped, sharing a rather-sad-looking sliver of pizza on a paper napkin.

Another added: “I really hope drake was just trolling cause ain't no way he actually thought this album is fire.”

“The drake album isn’t house enough for any house heads and not rap enough for any of the rap heads lmaoooo,” a listener commented.

Meanwhile, other fans seemed to enjoy Drake’s new sound on the album, including KSI, who took to Twitter to share his views.

“First Drake album I’ve enjoyed in a while honestly,” the YouTuber announced.

“This Drake album just makes you wanna move. I see why you b*****s love to twerk this s*** fun as hell,” another fan joked.

“Idk why Drake’s album receiving hate like y’all won’t be rocking ya hips and making vacation blogs in 2 weeks. Watch,” one fan defended of the star.

Another asked: “Drake made “Passionfruit” into a whole album and y’all mad about it?”

“Me in H&M listening to the new Drake album,” another added alongside a GIF of Scarlett Johansson happily dancing.

“Retail store vibes,” someone replied to the above comment.

Elsewhere on the album, rapper 21 Savage appears as the only artist, laying down his work on the track 'Jimmy Cooks'.

The album is 14 songs long and was executively produced by Drake, Noah “40” Shebib, Oliver El-Khatib, Noel Cadastre and Black Coffee.
