Children of the late 80’s and 90’s, prepare for a trip back to the dark days of dial-up internet.
Images of what Eminem’s website looked like 16 years ago have surfaced online, and they really prove how far the web has come in a relatively short period of time.
The website had a very low resolution, but I bet for most of us it still took an eternity to load.

Shortly before concerns about online pirating and the arrival of Napster, Limewire, or Kazaa, artists would allow streaming of tracks for free.
In fact, some of the tracks Em made available were never officially released, so if you did use the site you were probably privy to material many young fans will never have heard.
And before celebrities could rely on social media and the cloud to leak personal images, they had to use online galleries.
Fast-forward back to 2016…
Things are definitely looking much sleeker, and the Em merchandise section has beefed up to take pride of place.
Well fancy modern websites don’t just pay for themselves I guess.
