Johnny Depp Announces He's Going On Tour

The news follows Depp's legal battle against Amber Heard

Johnny Depp is set to get his band Hollywood Vampires back together for a tour following his legal victory against ex-wife Amber Heard.

The four-piece – consisting of the Pirates of the Caribbean star, as well as music legends Alice Cooper, Joe Perry and Tommy Henriksen – will be heading to Europe for six dates.

Fans will have to wait for the shows, as they don't kick off until 20 June, 2023, but ticket sales start on Monday, 27 June, and are likely to sell fast.

Sharing the news on their Instagram page, the band wrote: "The Hollywood Vampires are BACK!! We're coming to Germany and Luxembourg Summer 2023! Tickets go on sale Monday 27 June at 11:00am CET."

The list of shows include five in Germany and one in Luxembourg, although they said to 'keep an eye out for more to come'.

Hundreds of fans have commented on the post, with many calling on the band to extend the tour to their home countries.

Others were just excited to see the Hollywood Vampires playing again after they had to cancel their March tour due to the Covid pandemic.

"Yeah finally... So so happy to see you again," wrote one fan, while another said, "Keep on rockin guys! Much love to you all, especially you Johnny... you deserve the very best sweetheart!"

A third added: "Oh what a beautiful sight to behold. The Hollywood Vampires reuniting. Hopefully this will be the beginning of a world tour."

Last month, the 59-year-old movie star travelled across the pond as the jury made their decision over his defamation lawsuit against Heard, surprising fans with an impromptu performance with Jeff Beck.

Thousands of people who packed into Sheffield City Hall to see the rock legend kick off his tour were left stunned when Depp walked onto the stage alongside him.

While his appearance shocked many, a source close to Depp told CourtTV that it had been planned for some time.

"Mr. Depp is in the United Kingdom, as he was a few weeks ago, to adhere to his previously scheduled work obligations," they said.

His appearance came as the jury made their decision in the trial, eventually ruling in favour of Depp and awarding him $15 million in damages over abuse claims Heard wrote in a 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post.

This was later capped at $10.35 million by Judge Penny Azcarate, and Heard was awarded $2 million in a counterclaim.
