Machine Gun Kelly Introduces Fans To His Mother Who Abandoned Him As A Child

The rapper has previously opened up in his music about his relationship with his mum

Machine Gun Kelly has posted on Instagram introducing his fans to his mum.

The artist, real name Colson Baker, has previously rapped about his mum, who abandoned him when he was a kid.

But the 32-year-old has now shared a heartwarming photo of them both together after reuniting.

Posting the pic of them sat next to one another to his Instagram account, MGK wrote: "Introducing... my mom."

Since the photo was shared, it's been liked over 700,000 times, with the singer's fans piling into the comments to show their support.

One user said: "Holy s**t this makes me so happy."

Another chimed in: "What a full circle moment, that’s awesome."

A third said: "Omg! This is major. Congrats for reconnecting."

While another added: "Omg I can’t believe you are actually with her. If you are happy, I'm happy for you."

Baker was born in Texas to missionary parents, but was abandoned by his mum when he was just nine years old.

He was raised by his dad, who passed away in July 2020.

He opened up about his past in the 2019 song 'Burning Memories'.

In the hit, he says: "Yeah, this one’s for the mama that I never knew, I took acid just to burn all of my memories of you.

"I guess now I really wanna know the truth.

"How’d you leave your only child at nine for another dude?

"Took that pain and punched my father in the stomach 'til he bled.

"Hit the store and stole a 40 and took that s**t to the head.

"All the years that you ignore me left me sleepless in the bed.

"I hope daddy got some kids because your only son is dead."

Last month, MGK revealed that he wrote his new film because he thought that Megan Fox was going to break up with him.

While attending the premiere of his comedy Good Mourning, the star admitted that he penned the movie while 'spiralling' over what he thought was a break-up text from Fox.

MGK both directs and stars in the flick alongside fiancée Fox, Dove Cameron and Pete Davidson.

He said: "I had written so many songs and done all these outlets that I was familiar with and I was spiralling so hard, I needed somewhere else to go with it. I was like, ‘I’m just gonna write a movie'.

"I wrote the movie for her because she was unknowingly the cause of the spiral. She sent me a text just like in the movie."
