Drake announced he is taking a break from music to focus on his health.
The 36-year-old musician explained on SiriusXM's Sound 42 this morning (6 October) that he 'probably won't make music for a little bit'.
The announcement came on the same day he released his new album, For All the Dogs, which features appearances from the likes SZA, Bad Bunny, 21 Savage, J. Cole and Chief Keef.

And prior to the album's big release, the Grammy winner had been on tour across the US.
And the singer has had one hell of a tour this year - with plenty of interesting things happening such as giving a fan $50,000 after his girlfriend left him or someone rushing at him on the stage.
But now it seems like Drake is taking a temporary step back from music.
“I’m gonna be real with you: I need to focus on my health, first and foremost," he said. "Nothing crazy, but just, like, you know, I want people to be healthy in life.”

He added that he had been having the 'craziest problems' with his stomach for years, and figured that now was the time to properly deal with them.
“I need to focus on my health, and I need to get right, and I’m going to do that,” he continued.
“So, I’ma lock the door in the studio for a little bit. I don’t even know what a little bit is," adding that he might be gone for 'maybe a year.'
He has currently been on a co-lining tour with 21 Savage, It's All a Blur, which started in July 2023.

And during a show in Brooklyn, Drake had a few things to say to a member of the crowd when they threw a vape onto the stage.
“There’s no way you’re taking life serious if you think I’m gonna pick this vape up and vape with you at the f–king Barclays Center,” the 'One Dance' performer said.
“You got some real life evaluating to do.”

He then kicked the vape around the stage for a while before revealed to the audience that it was 'lemon mint' flavored.
The vape was just one of many incidents regarding fans throwing things at performers recently.
On another stop of his tour, the rapper was hit in the arm when an audience member through their cellphone on the stage as he performed a rendition of Ginuwine’s 'So Anxious'.
And, back in June, country singer, Kelsea Ballerini was forced to stop her show after being hit in the face with an object thrown from the crowd.

Other recent incidents include one concertgoer lobbing their phone at Bebe Rexha and Pink being thrown someone's mum's ashes.
