Drake says he’s ‘deeply disappointed’ that fans didn't throw bras on stage

People are divided after Drake told concert goers he was 'deeply disappointed' by the lack of bras being thrown onstage.

People are divided after Drake told concert goers he was 'deeply disappointed' by the lack of bras being thrown onstage.

This year seems to have seen the development of a trend where audience members throw rogue items on stage - think someone chucking their mum's ashes on stage during a P!nk gig or a phone splatting Bebe Rexha in the face, causing her to be rushed off stage and later develop a black eye.

Well, Drake may not have wanted to risk a black eye, but there was one item of clothing he was upset over not being present on his stage - bras.

Earlier this month, the 'Hotline Bling' singer had multiple bras and other underwear thrown onto the stage while he was performing in Detroit.

The 36-year-old was caught on camera picking up discarded items of clothing.

In one video posted to TikTok, Drake can be seen nearly getting pelted by a shoe, turning round to the audience to tell them that's not 'what [he] wants to see'.

He then carries on walking around the stage picking up other items - mostly bras - telling fans: "Please stop throwing bras up here. I feel like I'm on clean-up duty tonight."

Drake has previously complained about having bras thrown at him.

However, the singer since appears to have changed his tune.

In footage from a performance in Montreal, the musician stops between songs to address the audience.

He says: "One thing I'd like to say before I go on to this next song.

"This is the first stage, I think, where I don't have no bras and I'm deeply disappointed."

The musician quickly clarified no one should start throwing 'phones or shoes'.

He added: "If you've got a bra just let me know that I've still got it because I feel like I've been having a bad show because I didn't see no bras tonight.

"Maybe if I play this next song and I take you back in the day again to like 2006 maybe you'll throw me a bra. How about that?

"Let's go. Play it, play it, play it. Hurry up, because I need something."

Apparently Drake measures the success of his concerts by how many bras get thrown at him.

Drake's request has left social media users divided, many flooding to reposts of the video on Twitter to give their view.

One user said: "Do you know how much a bra cost?!"

"He can go buy his own bras!" Another added.

A third wrote: "What is he waffling about?"

And a fourth commented: "Nah this some weird energy."
