Following in your parent’s footsteps can be a daunting step – luckily for me mine weren’t rocket scientists or professional athletes, (no offence mum and dad).
For one young lad in particular, following in his father’s footsteps could be a B.I.G challenge!
Especially if said father is the late Notorious B.I.G – no pressure kid.
Twenty-year-old CJ Wallace, is reportedly in the studio working hard on his debut album, according to the Evening Standard.
He told them:
At a young age I always knew I wanted to do music, it was inevitable.
My family has always had my back, whatever I’ve wanted to do they’ve supported.
They were always giving me advice on what to do and how to go about things.
CJ Wallace is currently in a rap group with his half-brother, Joshua Jahad Russaw, and their album will hopefully be out later on in the year.
CJ was only a few months old when his father was gunned down, but having a legendary dad in the rap game ‘ends up being fuel’ for him to go hard in the studio.
CJ is also a budding actor. He starred in the indie film ‘Kicks’ with Oscar-winner Mahershala Ali.
Fans may also remember CJ from the film ‘Notorious’ where he played his father as a young boy in the Biggie Smalls biopic.

B.I.G shoes to fill but if anyone can, it’ll be his own son.
