Wolf Alice Have To Get Picked Up By Lifeguards After Jumping In Lake At The End Of Gig

The English alternative rock band needed a little extra help following an unusual finale gig performance

Many musicians and bands develop their own unique and personal rituals for preparing and ending live shows – and for Wolf Alice, it's no different.

Upon finishing their set for Best Kept Secret Festival in the Netherlands, the English alternative rock band who formed back in 2010 all decided to take a much needed cool-off post-performance.

Check it out:

With the final chord of the performance still ringing, the band began undressing while running off the stage and towards the nearby lake.

The video was captioned: "Thinking you're badass running in to the water after your rock show," over the footage of the band running towards the water.

The TikTok has since amassed over 369.9k views.

But, when the clip changed to footage of the band member's scrambling towards a dingy, the caption likewise changed to: "Having to get your lil a** picked up by the lifeguards after 1000s of people watch you struggle to get in the dingy."

A video uploaded to the band's official TikTok account has since amassed more than 369.9k views and plenty of comments – it's fair to say that fans had some very opposing reactions to the bizarre situation.

Others, however, did not find the lake jump too entertaining.

One TikTok user picked up on the retro ritual commenting on the 'True Rock n Roll' nature of the lake leap.

Referencing Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne's rock and roll antics from the 1970s, a second wrote: "Giving Ozzy a run for his money."

"Badass," simply commented a third fan, with another dubbing the dive as 'truly iconic'.

Others, however, did not find the lake jump too entertaining. Frustrated with the surrounding comments, one TikTok user voiced that Wolf Alice's action were 'not rock and roll whatsoever'.

"Ozzy bit a bat's head off and you went for a paddle and almost drowned," chimed in a second who was clearly not happy with the previous comparison of the two artists.

A few even slated the band for 'wasting emergency services'.

"Waste of emergency resources, hope they made you pay a fine tbh nobody is above abuse of blue light services. Disgusting," stated one person.

Another continued: "Don’t make them [lifeguards] come out and rescue you because you decided to mess around in large bodies of water."

Wolf Alice also recently played at the iconic Glastonbury Festival along the likes of Paul McCartney, Olivia Rodrigo and Kendrick Lamar, which ran between 22 and 26 June.
