This shooting comes just over a week after the horrific massacre at Umpqua Community College, which saw nine people lose their lives.
Making a public statement on Facebook, Northern Arizona University said: “Four people were shot at the Northern Arizona University campus in Flagstaff, AZ, early Friday.”
The statement continued: “According to the Northern Arizona University Police Department, the four victims included one dead, and three wounded. The shooter is in custody. Campus is not lockdown.”
The shooting occurred in a parking lot outside Mountain View Hall dormitory at the northeast side of the Flagstgaff campus.
The debate surrounding gun laws in the US is sure to continue now. Our thoughts go out to the friends and family of those involved.
