An astonished crowd were left cheering after a youngster grabbed a megaphone and gave a stirring speech about Roe v Wade, having used the moment to express her concerns about the landmark ruling being overturned.
After the Supreme Court voted in favour of a Mississippi law that would ban abortion after 15 weeks of pregnancy – effectively overturning the landmark Roe v Wade decision – people across the US have taken to the streets express their anger in protests.
This includes 11-year-old Aubrey Johnson, who gave an emotional speech in front of thousands as her mother filmed the poignant moment.
Aubrey, from Lancaster in Ohio, walked into the middle of a crowd and yelled through her megaphone: “What happens if I get raped? What happens then? What if I don’t know what to do?”

A placard on the floor next to her also read: “Let’s hope my young body doesn’t get raped!!!”
The schoolgirl’s mother, Misty Johnson, recorded the passionate speech as fellow protestors cheered in support, having also been left astonished by her daughter’s powerful words.
She said: “I was speechless at what came out of her mouth.
“I was so incredibly proud of her but also so sad for her. She might not be a woman in the law’s eyes yet, but she is still a girl, and this affects her just as much as the next woman.”
This isn't the first time Aubrey has gone viral for her comments on social issues, having previously hit headlines for her equally moving speech at a Black Lives Matter protest, when she was just nine years old.

Misty continued: “She is independent and strong-minded.
“She has her rough side to her but on the other hand, she is also the sweetest kind-hearted person I know.
“She believes everyone is equal and loves everyone. She is extremely funny and when she puts her mind to something there is no stopping her.
“She has been like this since birth.”
Misty admitted she had found it difficult to try and explain the controversial ruling to her two daughters, saying her anger was more 'for them'.

“Having to sit down and have that conversation with my children regarding Roe v Wade getting overturned, especially my two daughters, was so hard," she said.
“I was so angry, hurt, and sad. Mainly for them.
“This affects them so much more than me. I try to keep my thoughts and opinions out of topics like this so my kids can form their own thoughts and opinions.”
