However, it seems that not that many people were fussed about watching the awards show on TV.
Variety reports 6.3 million viewers tuned in to watch actors, actresses, directors, writers, musicians and other talented professionals win the coveted Golden Globe award.
The outlet says thats a 9 per cent drop since the 'last Globes telecast'.
That initial figure doesn't include on-demand streaming on Peacock, which will be released when Nielsen compiles its Live + 3 Day data.

In 2021, the Globes attracted a TV audience of 6.9 million people, however in 2020, 18.3 million viewers watched the ceremony.
NBC says the night was the 'most social special event across all of television season-to-date (linear and streaming), both in terms of social engagements and social video views'.
They got nearly 11 million digital page views for the Globes, which was an increase of 54 per cent from 2021.
NBC has hosted the Golden Globes since 1996 and the 2023 was the lowest figures for the network.

The only time it did worse was back in 2008 amid the Hollywood writers strike.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association ditched the glitzy ceremony and instead held a press conference to announce the winners, according to Deadline.
The Golden Globes' dire viewership figures follows a recent trend of people switching off from awards shows.
The 2022 Emmys saw a 25 per cent drop in viewers from the previous year and recorded a new low in ratings.

It attracted 5.9 million viewers, compared to the 7.9 million that tuned in for the 2021 ceremony.
