Alec Baldwin Reveals His Driver's Car Was Stolen After Landing In The UK

Actor Alec Baldwin's car was stolen from his chauffeur in an airport car park.

Alec Baldwin was left waiting at the airport after his chauffeur's car was stolen from the car park.

This week, the 63-year-old landed in the UK to begin filming for 97 Minutes, a thriller directed by Timo Vuorensola that sees a hijacked 767 set to run out of fuel in just 97 minutes.

However, Baldwin took to his Instagram to fill followers in on a bizarre turn of events that saw his chauffeur's car stolen and him trundling through a small town.

Explaining how he got a sleeper flight over to the UK, Baldwin can be heard telling followers that he decided to go ahead and record his recollection of the story because he thinks 'it's funny'.

In the video, he states, 'I get to the airport, I fly on a sleeper flight, and I get to the airport and I get through the immigration and I get my bags and I'm heading to the car that's going to drive me to where I'm going.'

Joking about his attempt at an English accent, Baldwin continues, 'And the driver says, 'We're going to go to the car park right now, and you wait right here and I'll be back straight away'.'

Baldwin noted how the driver was gone for 20 minutes, so he called the car service, the number of which was located on his itinerary.

The owner of the company then revealed that the driver had reported his car as having been stolen.

'He tells me that his car has been stolen from the car park,' Baldwin recalls him saying.

The driver reportedly wrote down where it was and clicked the fob, but to no avail. Baldwin concluded, 'I hope you find your car.'

The post has since amassed more than 200,000 views, 18,000 likes, and 1,000 comments, with users having flooded to the video in stitches over the car's vanishing. One said, 'I love listening to you. Never stop talking to us please.'

Another wrote, 'Awe be safe Alec [sic].'

A third commented, 'Your accent is actually really great love.'

One eagle-eyed follower even spotted a phone number and shop window in the background that indicated that in the video, Baldwin was on Normandy Street in Alton, Hampshire.

In October, Baldwin found himself embroiled in an investigation into the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust. Hutchins died as a result of a prop gun accidentally being fired by the actor while on set. Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident.

Baldwin spoke out in December about how there is 'not a day goes by' where he doesn't think of the 'tragic' death.

Baldwin was also stopped by police with his wife, and has also recently been sued for millions by the family of a marine killed in Afghanistan.
