People are convinced bears are humans in costumes after video resurfaces showing them relaxing

People have questioned once again if a zoo has staff dressed as bears

Yet more bears have been accused of being humans in costume after a video emerged on Reddit of two moon bears relaxing and waving.

Earlier this year, a sun bear at a Chinese zoo went viral after a video emerged of the animal appearing to wave at the crowd while standing on its hind legs.

The bear, named Angela, resides at Hangzhou Zoo, and the establishment was later forced to deny people's claims that she wasn't real.

It turns out it's actually quite common for sun bears to stand on their hind legs, and a UK zoo later shared a clip of one of its sun bears doing it as a way to prove this.

Angela the sun bear got chins wagging earlier this year.

Apparently the stance is a ‘natural behavior’ for ‘a greater view of their surroundings or [to] smell far-off objects’.

But now the same questions have surfaced once again, but this time about moon bears.

Moon bears get their name from the crescent-like patch on their chest and are also known as Asian black bears.

In a clip that's been shared to Reddit of moon bears at an unidentified zoo, the two mammals are seen laying back and chilling on the side of a rocky verge.

One of the bears then proceeds to wave its paw in a very casual way at the person filming.

People on the platform have since shared their thoughts on the comical video and if they think it's real or not.

The two bears appeared to be living their best lives.

"You’re telling me those aren’t two people in bear costumes?!" asked one person.

"That is 100% two men in bear suits and nobody can tell me otherwise," echoed another.

Also noting their uncanny resemblance to someone in a bear suit, someone else said: "It's funny how much they resemble humans in a bear costume. I imagine this is exactly what I'd want to do if I had one on."

"Sun bears look like a human in a bear custom trying to be a bear," a fourth added.

Elsewhere, others shared their theories on why the clip went shaky at the end.

What do you think?

Someone wrote: "I am just going to assume that the camera shake after the bear waves is the cameraman waving back."

"I can guarantee that little camera wobble at the end was because the cameraman was waving back," agreed another.

According to charity Born Free, the moon bear population is sadly in decline as a result of deforestation.

In addition to this, it's said that more than 10,000 bears are being held at farms in awful conditions across China and Vietnam as bear bile is used in some Asian medicines.
