Last night’s UFC 207 main event saw Amanda Nunes defeat Ronda Rousey to retain her women’s UFC bantamweight title.
In her first fight for 13 months Rousey was annihilated by Nunes in just 48 seconds.
Watching Rousey get beaten so convincingly was undoubtedly tough for fans of the former champ, but it’s safe to say it was even harder for her trainer, Edmond Tarverdyan, reports LarryBrownSports.

The UFC had Rousey’s corner micd up for the entire fight and in the audio track you can clearly hear Tarverdyan pleading with Ronda to clinch, move her head and hold her hands up.
As the fight went on it quickly became clear that Rousey had little to no defence against Nunes’ attacks and you hear Tarverdyan shout ‘NO!’ over and over as he realises the inevitable is about to happen.
And just to add insult to literal injury, at the end of the fight, Nunes actually went over to Tarverdyan to shush him.
Judging from the clip, it seems Tarverdyan’s strategy was to allow Nunes to throw punches – before the fight he could be heard telling Rousey to ‘make her miss’.
But unfortunately for Ronda, Nunes went all-out to dictate from the off, and once she took a couple of hard hits it was all over.
