Do you love The Legend of Zelda, but no longer own a Nintendo console? Then indie effort Oceanhorn is a game you should definitely check out.
While the nautical adventure game has been on PC and mobile devices for a while now, it was announced at Gamescom 2016 that it’ll be making its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 7.
Developed by Finnish studio Cornfox & Bros, Oceanhorn is a real love letter to classic adventure games like Zelda, Final Fantasy, and Secret of Mana.
The newly released trailer has more references to the classic Zelda than the last actual Zelda trailer did. We’ve got bombs, block puzzles, arrows, and even a boat that gives off a real Wind Waker vibe.
Check it out below.
Oceanhorn also features some fantastic music, courtesy of Nobuo Uematsu – a chap who is perhaps best known for his work on the Final Fantasy series. Seiken Densetsu composer Kenji Ito also had a hand in game’s score.
It’s a relatively small game, offering up to 15-plus hours of gameplay, according to publisher FDG.
Pricing for the console version wasn’t announced, but the PC version goes for £10.99 on Steam.
Still, anyone desperate for a dose of classic adventure action while we wait for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild could do much worse than this.
