A ‘bomb explosion’ has taken place on, or near, the Borrusia Dortmund team bus resulting in at least one injury for a player.

The player, rumoured to be Spanish national player, Marc Bartra, has reportedly been taken to hospital after the so-called ‘attack’.

Borrusia Dortmund are supposed to be playing against Monaco very shortly in the Champion’s League quarter final, but now it is uncertain whether the game will go on as normal or not.

Although Dortmund police have urged people to stay away from the rumours, Borrusia Dortmund’s twitter account claim there was a ‘bomb explosion’ on the team bus.

The team’s Twitter account added that the game may well be cancelled following the explosion but added that there is ‘no cause for concern’ for those in the stadium

Although information remains scarce at the minute it has been claimed that windows on the Dortmund bus were shattered.

UPDATE: Following the ‘explosion’ the match has been postponed until 19:45 tomorrow.
