Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston Wants To Play A Marvel Villain

It appears Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston has his sights set on playing another sinister character, officially throwing his pork pie hat into the ring to play a “nasty” villain in a future Marvel movie.

And those who witnessed his incredible performance as chemistry teacher turned meth cooking drug lord Walter White will have no doubts that the 59-year-old could bring a scary supervillain to life on the big screen.

Speaking to Metro, he said:

You know what I’d like to do? I’d like to do some big superhero villain in some Marvel classic.

However, Cranston added that he doesn’t have his eye on any long-standing Marvel bad guy, claiming he would prefer to create an original villain on screen (well, he is the “one who knocks”, after all).
He added:

Create one from scratch. I don’t know what I would do but it would be nasty.

Cranston previously expressed interest in playing Superman’s nemesis Lex Luthor in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film, before Jesse Eisenberg was cast in the role.

He also recently mentioned the possibility of making more Malcolm in the Middle, which begs the question of which we’d prefer to see – the return of loveable nice guy Hal on our TVs or Cranston playing a badass villain on the big screen?
