ISIS recruiter Sally Jones is being kept in Syria against her will by her 12-year-old son.
Infamously dubbed ‘Mrs Terror’, the former punk-rock-singer-turned-recruiter for the terrorist organisation has been attempting to flee worn-torn Syria ever since the death of her husband Junaid Hussain.
She fled to Syria with her son Jo-Jo three years ago, however after Hussain was killed in a drone strike in Raqqa back in August 2015 she has been desperate to leave.
The only thing keeping Jones – who also goes under the alias ‘White Widow’ – from leaving is her son Jo-Jo, who is believed to have taken part in the execution of prisoners – something that Jones had initially forced him to take part in.
A friend told The Sun the only thing keeping her there is her son, who has been ‘brainwashed’ by the terrorist organisation.
She went on to say that:
Jo-Jo was just an ordinary kid when she took him away from his home in Kent. She ruined all of that by fleeing with him.
Another woman who was able flee life in Raqqa told Sky News reporters:
She was crying and wants to get back to Britain but Isis is preventing her because she is now a military wife.
The war in Syria has been raging since March 2011 with no end in sight.
It’s been reported that under the current regime of President Bashar al-Assad use of sarin gas has been used to flush out the so-called Islamic State but civilians in-turn have been be caught up in the collateral damage.
