American comedian Andy Dick has been arrested in California on suspicion of felony sexual battery.
Dick, 56, was arrested at a campground in Orange County on Wednesday (11 May) after police received a call from the alleged adult male victim about a possible sexual assault.
It was around 9am local time when officers responded to the scene at O’Neill Regional Park, a 500-acre park near the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California.

Police met the alleged victim and eventually arrested Dick, according to sheriff's spokesperson Sgt. Scott Steinle, as reported by NBC News.
The arrest, which involved police surrounding the RV trailer where Dick was located, was caught on camera and live streamed online via Captain Content’s RV YouTube page.
In the clip, three officers could be seen escorting Dick from the trailer and walking with him towards two waiting police vehicles. The comedian was patted down at one of the vehicles before being led away in handcuffs.

Dick has been living in the RV at the campsite for a some time now along with a group of live streamers, according to TMZ. Officers responding to the scene are said to have searched his vehicle and asked to collect the male victim's pants as evidence.
On Wednesday the Orange County District Attorney’s Office said it had not received the case and had not made a charging decision.
The sheriff’s department has declined to provide more details about the nature of the allegations.
Following his arrest, Dick was held in lieu of $25,000 bail. The man who reported the incident was taken to hospital for examination.
Earlier in the livestream footage, a man said to be the male victim can be heard making allegations about the incident, saying: "I was just in bed right now, and I smelled certain parts of my body … [I was] in the other RV with Andy, and … the last thing I remember, we were on the phone with his fiancée … I smelled parts of myself and they smell like artificial smells.”

The alleged victim confronted Dick in the video, which prompted the comedian to deny the allegations and ask the man to 'leave [him] alone', Page Six reports.
Dick, who is a father to three children, has previously been accused of groping a male ride-share driver in 2018. He was charged the following year with misdemeanor sexual battery, to which he pleaded not guilty.
In June 2021 he was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, and in November he got into trouble with the law again when he was arrested after allegedly attacking his boyfriend with a liquor bottle.
