Meet Captain Clay Higgins, possibly the most badass police officer to ever grace the planet.
He’s known as the ‘Cajun John Wayne’ and ‘America’s Toughest Cop’, and one watch of this video will confirm that these are pretty fitting nicknames.
In it, Higgins delivers a plain message to a gang called the Gremlins – “You will be hunted. You will be trapped.”
He brought out the whole squad for his video – which understandably has gone viral, clocking up over 15,250,000 views – with heavily armed officers from more than a dozen law enforcement agencies standing neatly next to their patrol vehicles.
Captain Higgins’ video is aimed at a local Louisiana gang called the Gremlins, who’re accused of murder, theft and various drug offences.
He says that ten suspected members have already been arrested, but seven still remain on the streets – and he has a message for them: “You think men like these are afraid of an uneducated, 125 lbs punk like you? That’s never won a fair fight in your life, and holds your gun sideways?”
Higgins goes on to say:
If you raise your weapon to a man like me, we’ll return fire with superior fire. I’ll meet you on solid ground anytime, anywhere, light or heavy, makes no difference to me. You won’t walk away.
According to Fox News Insider, law enforcement officials have struggled to find anyone to testify against the gang, even their victims have remained silent.
Higgins made the video to encourage people to cooperate with police to get the gang off the streets, urging them to ‘Come forward with information about these heathens that have terrorized your community’, adding that all American ‘patriots’ must stand up.
He also had a message for anyone that might mistake his threats as racism: “Take a close look behind me. Standing next to every cop is a leader of our black community. This is not about race. This about right versus wrong”.
If this video doesn’t help motivate the community to do something, I don’t know what will…
