A couple who had sex on a Domino’s Pizza counter while waiting for their 12-inch stuffed crust pepperoni have been handed their sentences.
28-year-old Daniella Hirst and 31-year-old Craig Smith, were captured on CCTV engaging in sexual activity in public back in February.
The video was shared to Twitter and immediately went viral.
The 18-minute clip was shown in Scarborough Magistrates Court and Hirst reportedly covered her eyes with her hands in shame.
Footage showed the couple ordering food and messing around with a yellow cleaning cone before things quickly escalated, with Hirst then performing a sex act on Smith, before they lean over the counter and have sex.
In the video, staff can be seen working in the kitchen as the couple continue having sex.
Solicitor, Scott McLoughlin, told the court the couple’s antics took place after the pair had ‘been drinking’, writes the Metro.
Hirst pleaded guilty to outraging public decency at a hearing last month, while Smith, who was not in court because he was in prison in relation to other matters, was found guilty in his absence after a 30-minute trial as the couple were both handed 12-month community orders, a curfew for 23 weeks meaning they must remain in their separate homes between 7pm and 7am and a victim surcharge of £85.
Smith, who was told he’d also have to complete 200 hours unpaid work shouted: “Why do I have to do that extra?!”
When asked for a comment outside court, he responded: “Get f****d.”
Mr McLoughlin told the court the CCTV footage was ‘illegally uploaded’ to the internet by a member of staff at the Domino’s branch and if it wasn’t for this, the couple’s antics wouldn’t have been viewed by ‘thousands of people’.
The couple, from Bridlington, East Yorkshire, told the press how they enjoyed having sex in public places and Hirst claimed she loved ‘the thrill of getting caught’.
