Cristiano Ronaldo Announces Son Has Died

Cristiano Ronaldo's baby boy has passed away.

Cristiano Ronaldo's has shared the tragic news that his baby boy has passed away.

The legendary footballer took to social media to announce his son's passing.

In a statement from both himself and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez, the 37-year-old said his baby's passing 'is the greatest pain that any parents can feel'.

"It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel," the statement reads.

"Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness.

"We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support."

Rodriguez and Ronaldo publicly announced they were expecting twins on 28 October, 2021.

Rodriguez was around three months pregnant at the time, with her due date anticipated as being in the spring of 2022.

The pair already have four children together, however Rodriguez is only the biological mother to one of them. Two of the children are twins.


Rodriguez and Ronaldo are reported as having been together since 2016.

Rodriguez previously worked in Gucci, however because of the fame she gained from dating Ronaldo, she gave up her role and became a model.

After Ronaldo signed with Manchester United, the family uprooted and moved to the UK.


Support has since rained in for the pair, with followers taking to the comments of the post to offer their condolences and support.

Jamaican athlete Yohan Blake said: "So sorry my friend."

"God knows about everything, sorry legend!!" Braziliian footballer Felipe Melo stated.

Popular Instagram page Rich Kids London wrote: "Such a heartbreaking news. I'm so sorry for your loss brother my thoughts goes to you and your family."

"My condolences brother. Big hug," pro footballer Edinho Silva stated.

Piers Morgan also commented: "Heartbreaking news. My deepest condolences to you and all your family."

Manchester United also commented on the post and tweeted the same statement in support of its player.

The football club wrote: "Your pain is our pain.

"Sending love and strength to you and the family at this time."

Rodriguez and Ronaldo concluded their statement by asking fans for 'privacy at this very difficult time'.

"Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you."
