Daniel Radcliffe Thinks There’s One Big Difference Between Donald Trump and Voldemort
Who’s worse, Voldemort or Donald Trump?
It’s a question that’s been asked quite frequently thanks to the range of outrageous and sometimes downright evil comments the potential future President of the U.S. has said about immigrants, women, and taxes to name a few.
But while the Republican presidential nominee has been regularly compared to the Dark Lord throughout election season, there’s only one person who can really decide how one stacks up against the other. And that’s Potter.
While promoting his latest film Imperium this week, Daniel Radcliffe responded to questions about J.K. Rowling’s legendary Trump burn, where, back in December 2015, she tweeted that Trump is worse than Voldemort.
According to Radcliffe, the comparison is ‘certainly not without its merits.’
But the actor considers his former arch-nemesis to be far more consistent than Trump, who lies with worrying frequency.
Radcliffe told Sky News:
I sort of think Donald Trump might not be as ideologically pure as Voldemort.
My thinking on Trump is that he feels like more of an opportunist – I don’t know know how much of this stuff he’s saying he actually really, really believes.
He hides behind the sort of thing of, ‘Oh I’m just an entertainer’… that comparison is certainly not without its merits.
Basically, at least with He Who Must Not Be Named you know he means what he says, but Trump doesn’t even believe the lies he spews.
If Donald Trump really is worse than Voldemort, then the only way to stop him is to destroy his Horcruxes. The wig is definitely one.
Now we just need to find the other six.
