Demi Lovato is still hospitalised at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to new reports.
The singer was taken to the hospital in Los Angeles, from her Hollywood Hills home, where she was treated for a drug overdose on Tuesday, (July 24).
Lovato has battled substance abuse on and off since she was a teenager, but had remained sober for the last six years.
Now TMZ report she suffering from ‘extreme nausea and a high fever’ among other things, all in relation to the complications with the overdose.
She’d recently released a song called Sober where she spoke candidly about her addiction, apologising to her family and friends:
Momma, I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore / And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor
To the ones who never left me, we’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore
In June 2018, Demi cancelled her concert at London’s O2 arena, mere hours before she was due to go on stage.
At the time, an representative for Lovato told ET:
Demi is awake and with her family, who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support.
