Beth Chapman, the wife of Duane ‘Dog the Bounty Hunter’ Chapman has died aged 51 after a long battle with cancer.
Dog the Bounty Hunter confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: ‘It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.’
The beloved reality TV personality was first diagnosed with throat cancer in September 2017. Later the same year doctors gave Beth the all clear, but it later returned spreading to her lungs.

Chapman and her doting husband made a special programme called Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives, which included the 13-hour surgery Beth had to remove a Stage 2 tumour post initial diagnosis.
However, at the end of 2018 it was revealed the cancer was incurable. In April 2019 she was taken to hospital with ‘serious breathing issues’.
On June 23 it was reported the reality TV star had been placed in a medically induced coma, having been admitted to the intensive care unit at Queen’s Medical Center, Hawaii.
At the time, her husband called on the couple’s supporters to ‘say your prayers for Beth right now’. He also sent ‘sincere thanks to everyone for their prayers throughout Beth’s battle with cancer’.

After 16 years together, they married on May 20 2006 at a Hilton hotel in Waikoloa Village on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Beth ran the bail bonds office and partook in business alongside her husband, often going bounty hunting and counselling detainees.
Beth and Duane Chapman rose to fame at the helm of their self-titled TV show – Dog’s Most Wanted – in which they track down criminals with the help of their extended family.
Beth, born to an Italian American family in Colorado as Alice Elizabeth “Beth” Barmore (née Smith), split her time on the show between their new home in Hawaii and Denver, where she was raised.
Considered by some as one of the greatest bounty hunters in the world, Duane made more than 10,000 captures in his 40 year career, with Beth at his side.
Beth leaves behind husband, Duane, his sons, Leland and Duane Lee, and her four children, Cecily Chapman, Bonnie Chapman, Garry Chapman, and Dominic Davis.
