Donald Trump Believes He Would Have Stopped 9/11 Attacks

Donald Trump is the gift that just keeps on giving as the American Apprentice supremo has now asserted 9/11 would not have happened on his watch.

The comments were made during an interview with Fox as Trump’s campaign to be the Republican Party’s presidential candidate continues.

One man he is up against is Jeb Bush, brother of George W., who was President when commercial planes were flown into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon, along with flight 93 which crashed into a field as passengers fought back against hijackers.

So on what grounds would Trump have saved 2977 lives that day? Well of course his immigration policy would have been much stricter and under his stewardship the hijackers wouldn’t have reached US soil.

Here’s what old Donald had to say:

I am extremely, extremely tough on illegal immigration. I’m extremely tough on people coming into this country. I believe that if I were running things, I doubt those families would have – I doubt that those people would have been in the country.”

Just one problem, as noted by Media Matters, all the hijackers entered the country legally, with just two of the 19 overstaying their visas.

Sounds like typically outlandish rhetoric that exploits America’s unresolved emotions surrounding that fateful day.

He is an entertaining figure is Trump, but clearly nothing is off limits in his bid for power.
