Donald Trump Was Apparently A DJ This Weekend

The former US president played some tracks for guests at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.

Donald Trump has apparently performed two DJ sets at Mar-a-Lago this weekend.

The former US president's post-White House life hasn't been smooth sailing: he was banned from Twitter for life, reducing his wittering to press releases that occasionally emerge through the news cycle; alongside many allies, he's been attached to several lawsuits; and his new social media firm is weeks from launching, despite controversy and issues.

Ahead of 'rebranding his legacy' this year ahead of another potential presidential run, experts believe, he embarked on an unexpected venture this weekend at his resort in Palm Beach, Florida: spinning some tracks.

Trump has owned Mar-a-Lago since 1985, later turning the mansion into a private members' club in 1994. He's been residing there since the end of his presidency.

In a note sent to members of the club earlier this week, informing them of two dinner events at the weekend, it was also revealed that Trump would be cueing up the music.

'Great music will be played during dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings, with President Trump playing the role of disc jockey,' it read, according to Maggie Haberman of The New York Times.

'The music will be amazing, it will be lots of fun, and will go until the late evening. For those who will be unable to be seated, the bar will be open for drinks. We look forward to seeing everyone again very soon!' it added, with the note signed by 'President Donald J. Trump'.

What would Trump's setlist look like? Going off his past rallies, attendees could probably expect the likes of the Village People's Macho Man and YMCA, while he's earlier 'name-checked Aerosmith, Elton John, Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson', according to Rolling Stone.

Haberman also revealed a 'Take Back Congress Candidate Forum' fundraiser event, sent to MAGA supporters via his 'Make America Great Again, Again!' PAC. Scheduled for February 23 at Mar-a-Lago, attendees can get a private dinner and photo with Trump, VIP seating at candidate forum programming and the option to purchase a two-night stay at the resort, all for the low cost of $250,000.

'Quite a price tag to attend a candidate forum for congressional hopefuls and Trump, hosted by his super PAC. Trump is spending almost no money on other Rs so far. But he’s trying to raise for his group using congressional Rs,' Haberman wrote.

If you pay $100,000, you'll still get a photo with Trump, but you'll have to eat with the congressional candidates instead.
