The first bit of paid DLC for id Software’s excellent DOOM is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Unto The Evil (fantastic name for a metal band) is the first major expansions for the hellish FPS, and can be yours for £11.99 (it’s also part of the season pass, naturally).
Why not watch the trailer below? I’m not telling you how to live your life, but it’s there if you want it.
So what’s coming in this DOOM expansion besides more blood, gore, demons, and heavy metal?
Fans can expect three new sinister sounding maps in the form of Cataclysm, Offering, and Ritual, as well as a new weapon and item – the UAC EMG pistol and Kinetic Mine.
Also, look forward to a charming sounding new demon called the Harvester, and new armor and taunts (including robotic sets and a golf club-swinging taunt).
Because id Software is such a lovely group of people, as long as you’re in a party with someone who owns the new maps, you’ll be able to play them regardless of whether you own them or not.
DOOM also continues to receive regular free updates and content – seriously, if you haven’t played this game already, I implore you to check it out.
There’s no better time to get in on the fun, as it’s currently discounted on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
