Dramatic Footage From Inside Aircraft Shows Moment Plane Crashes

Dramatic helmet-cam footage from inside a plane showing the moment the aircraft crash lands has been posted to YouTube.

The incident took place near Lodi airport in California where it is reported a mechanical malfunction forced the Cessna to the ground, reports Mashable.

The clip begins just as the plane approaches a field to make an emergency landing and, although at first the landing seems successful, the plane flips over and the camera goes dark as the passengers scramble from the wreckage.

According to a KRCA report, there were 18 people on board at the time of the crash but fortunately no one was seriously injured.

One of the passengers, Yuri Garmashov told KCRA:

We flew up, and then something happened. And then we’re landing, and everything’s crashing and everything’s rolling. And then boom, we’re on the ground upside down.

Everything’s dark. People start yelling ‘Get out. Get out. Get out’.

Another eyewitness, Cindy Martin, claims the plane clipped her pickup truck just before landing in the field.

She said:

I saw a plane coming down right at us. And I told my husband ‘that plane is going to hit us’.

Sure enough, it came right at us and clipped our back end enough to just really feel a good bump, and then it went out into the vineyard and flipped over.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has yet to discover the exact cause of the crash, but the aircraft’s owner says it was a propulsion issue.

Looks like those guys had an incredibly lucky escape.
