EDL founder Tommy Robinson got attacked my masked men outside McDonald’s.

Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, says he was in London to film attendees of a ‘left-wing conference’.

Footage of the attack shows a group of about seven men wearing balaclavas walking towards Robinson at a retail park in north London.

In the video posted on his Facebook page, Robinson says that he saw ‘six or seven men coming towards me’ and ‘four of them went for me’.

Robinson can be seen asking if the masked men want to go ‘one on one’ before punches and kicks are thrown from both sides.

Robinson said:

I’ve done more scrapping as a journalist than I did going football.

It looks like the men are trying to stop Robinson filming then and he dropped his camera.

At one point, Robinson charges at the men before being forced to the floor and kicked repeatedly.

No one was seriously injured and Robinson complains that the ‘violent left wing extremists’ won’t be investigated by the police because they are not identifiable.

Robinson previously founded the European Defence League as well as being co-founder and spokesman for the English Defence League.

At the end of the footage, Robinson approaches the police and calls them ‘cowards’.
