Known as 'El Chino Antrax', or Chinese Anthrax in English, wanted to join the military before becoming a hitman for notorious cartel drug lord El Chapo.
Real name José Rodrigo Aréchiga Gamboa, his life could have gone so very differently if it wasn't for a skin condition that kept him from achieving his dream of becoming a military pilot.
The cartel hitman tried to sign up for the Mexican military but suffered from skin condition psoriasis and was deemed unfit for service.
He then tried to get a degree in architecture but dropped out after three years of studying as he needed to provide for his wife and daughter.

The answer for the soon-to-be hitman lay with childhood friends, having quite literally lived right next door to Sinaloa cartel leader Ismael 'El Mayo' Zambada who ran the cartel alongside other leaders like El Chapo.
According to the hitman's lawyers at first he ran 'small errands' for the cartel, but over the years he grew in influence until he became the leader of the Sinaloa cartel's new sicario squad named after nerve agent anthrax.
Their job was to run security for El Mayo, which meant proactively going out and killing potential threats to one of the Sinaloa cartel's main leaders.

He even ended up posting images and videos of his lavish lifestyle onto Instagram in an attempt to demonstrate that crime does pay after all.
However, he couldn't run from the law forever and spent several years behind bars before he ultimately met a grisly end.
Arrested in the Netherlands in 2013 while attempting to enter the country using a false name, the hitman was sent to a maximum security prison where it was confirmed that he had changed his appearance with plastic surgery and even altered his fingerprints.
He was extradited to the US in 2014 and later pleaded guilty to participating in shipping cocaine and marijuana from Mexico to the US, as well as carrying out violent acts for the cartel.
Released from prison in March 2020, two months later his probation officer reported him missing.

His body was later found shot dead along with his sister and her husband in Sinaloa, with senior cartel leaders identified as likely culprits for ordering his death.
