Guess who’s back, back again? No, not Slim Shady, you silly, but the much more dangerous, cool as heck John Wick – and he’s not taking any prisoners.
That’s right folks, the third (and supposedly final) instalment is coming soon to a cinema near you – and we’ve been graced with yet another trailer to keep us going in the meantime.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum picks up where Chapter 2 finishes – like, literally the minute after – with Keanu Reeves’ character having a $14 million bounty on his head, and having been declared excommunicado. Yikes.
You can watch the new trailer below:
The highly anticipated trailer promises heaps of action (surprise, surprise), with John having to fight his way through New York’s surprisingly dense assassin population.
Having committed the cardinal sin by killing another assassin at The Continental Hotel – a neutral ground for assassins – John has been disavowed by the guild and must try to escape New York before he’s assassinated.
I don’t know about you but I’m backing John for this; he always manages to carry out the most bad-ass stunts and executions while remaining effortlessly cool at all times. I don’t know how he does it.
John Wick 3 is being helmed by returning director Chad Stahelski, an experienced stuntman and former stunt double to Keanu himself.
Stahelski told Entertainment Weekly:
Number three starts literally a minute after the second film ends. It’s John Wick trying to get out of New York City and find some way out of the box he’s gotten himself into.
The first part of the film is John Wick escaping New York and trying to line up the assets he’ll need to find a way out of the problem he’s in.
And the cast only seems to get better with each film; with Ian McShane, Laurence Fishburne, and Lance Reddick all reprising their original roles, newbies Halle Berry, Mark Dacascos, Asia Kate Dillon, Anjelica Huston, and Jason Mantzoukas will be joining the franchise – promising for an entertaining ride.

Whatever happens, I think we can agree the film will satisfy all our action/thriller genre needs, with Reeves and his pit bull sidekick assassinating the bad guys like there’s no tomorrow – all while donning a suave suit, of course.
I just hope the dog survives… Or else.
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum will be in cinemas on May 17, 2019.
