I don’t think it’d work out for me if I applied to be on First Dates – rather than spending time with my date, I would much rather hang out with Maître d’hôtel, Fred Sirieix, soaking up his bountiful wisdom on all things romance and love.
With his philosophical turn of phrase, twinkly eyes and patient way of dealing with the most bizarre situations, the enigmatic Frenchman is the perfect person to help heal a broken heart.
Now, the ‘Pull a Pig’ prank victim Sophie Stevenson, could be walking into the First Dates restaurant, all while Fred weaves his match-making magic…

The fairy godmothers on the First Dates team are apparently eager to find Sophie a man deserving of her affections, with a production team spokesperson telling The Mirror:
Fred and his team at the First Dates restaurant are always happy to welcome those unlucky in love.
Sophie is very welcome to apply to First Dates and see if we can bring a little of the First Dates magic into her life.
After kissing an uncommonly enormous frog, will our Sophie finally find her Prince Charming over a nice steak dinner at the Paternoster Chop House restaraunt?

24-year-old Sophie believed she was involved in a ‘proper romance’ with Jesse Mateman, after they slept together in Barcelona during the aftermath of the August terrorist attack.
After weeks of excited preparation, Sophie flew to Amsterdam to meet up with her lover – however, he failed to show up at the airport and allegedly sent a message which read, ‘you were pigged, it was a joke’, along with two pig face emoji’s and a crying with laughter emoji.
Mateman has denied the allegations and has described the story as being a ‘witch-hunt’ – he’s also threatened to take legal action against Sophie.
The love team at First Dates have given many of those who’ve been unlucky in affairs of the heart a new romantic opportunity and quite often, cupid’s arrow strikes true.
Just one year after they appeared on the Channel 4 show, lovebirds Ibiba Mudada and Aarron Stewart welcomed their baby daughter Aziza into the world.
Questions have been popped, with contestant Scott White famously proposing to Victoria Wells with a haribo ring during the First Dates Christmas special – sadly, the engagement didn’t last but this was still a very sweet moment – and not just because haribo rings are delish!
There's only 1 pig in this story & it's not Sophie. She's a lovely looking young lady who deserves much better. Lucky escape for her

Hopefully Fred and the rest of ‘Team Love’ will find brave Sophie a good egg who will give her an evening to remember for all the right reasons.
However, even if the date doesn’t go swimmingly, we just know Sophie is strong enough to cope with any awkward dating situation she may come across.
Is there a kind, genuine and honest man out there who can restore Sophie’s faith in love and show her how gentleman behave?
Reading about how the lovely #SophieStevenson got "pigged" & knowing that this culture has existed for so long in society as different names
