Man only eats Costco hotdogs for an entire week to see if $1.50 is worth it

"I work at Costco and we almost ran out of hotdogs because of this guy"

A man has revealed what happened when he ate only Costco hot dogs for a whole week.

Remember the excitement you'd feel as a kid when you had a friend coming round for a tea or a party to go to and - needing something quick and easy to feed a whole class of hangry 10-year-olds - parents would buy a load of hot dogs and buns?

Yeah, well the novelty would probably wear off on most of us if that's all you had to eat for a whole seven days and one content creator really put it to the test. Prepare to immediately look up your nearest hot dog supplier.

Content creator Sir Yacht took to his social media yesterday (11 January) to reveal he decided to eat 'nothing but' the $1.50 Costco hot dogs every day, for every meal, for a week, to see if paying such a low cost 'for a glizzy and drink was worth it'.

In total, the Instagrammer reveals he ate a whopping 29 hot dog meals which came to a total of $43.50.

Yacht explains what he spent in total came to just 'a quarter of what the average millennial spends on food a week' - the total of that being $164.82.

But, was saving $121.32 by only living off hot dogs for a whole week worth it?

Would you eat only hot dogs for a week to save some cash?

Well, in the clip, Yacht admits he didn't actually get sick of eating hot dogs once.

"Despite my bowel movements resembling Willy Wonka's chocolate river," he adds.

Surprisingly he also notes he ended up losing weight from his hot dog-only diet too.

Ultimately, he resolves it was very much worth eating hot dogs for a week to save so much cash, but that's not to say he'd recommend it as a lifestyle choice for anyone else, nor for any longer than a week.

His Instagram caption reads: "Note: this is not diet advice. This is just me making content. I do not recommend anybody attempt this!"

He also added in the comments section: "Please note this is not diet advice. I do not recommend you do this. I also walked 10-15 miles a day, drank a gallon of water a day, and took some daily vitamins."

And it hasn't taken long for people to flood to the post to weigh in on Yacht's bizarre experiment.

One Instagram user wrote: "I work at Costco and we almost ran out of hotdogs because of this guy."

"Inflation has been killing our pockets, but at least we can count on Costco’s Hot Dogs," another added.

And a third commented: "Literally an honor to witness history."
