Mom grossed out after cutting open her kid's Capri Sun and seeing what's inside

She wasn't happy to see the drink's contents.

A mom has issued a warning to other parents after opening up her son's Capri Sun.

Haley Crider cut open the drink to pour its contents into a sippy cup for her child when she looked inside the carton and made a unexpected discovery.

Following this, she filmed what she found and posted a video to TikTok to urge other parents to check their kids' Capri Suns.

In the video, Haley said: "So I just cut the top off these [cartons] because I pour the drink into my son's sippy cup for him - so he doesn't squeeze it when he's drinking it and spills it everywhere."

She then proceeded to show the contents of two cartons before going on to the third Capri Sun, which appears to have loads of bits in the bottom of it.

Looking at the expiry date, Haley confirmed that it didn't go out of date until August 2024.

"This one has this stuff in it," she went on. "Ew."

Haley's video has since been viewed over three million times on TikTok.

She captioned the clip while tagging Capri Sun: "CHECK YOUR KIDS Capri Suns i cut the top off to pour it into my sons sippy cup and seen stuff floaring in it!

Capri Suni is a popular children's drink.

"Then i grab the last 2 and cut them open and they were okay but im so glad i caught it before i gave it to him!"

Dozens of people have since responded to Haley's video.

One person claimed that is 'why I don’t buy capri sun', further alleging that 'this has been an issue for years now'.

"That’s why I don’t drink these anymore," a second said.

"This is not the first time I’ve seen capri sun with this problem. I’ll never buy them I’m so disgusted by it," another person also claimed.

While others suggested that the 'stuff' at the bottom of the carton in question could be mold.

UNILAD has contacted Capri Sun for comment.

Back in 2018, another parent issued a warning to others after he found suspected mold in a Capri Sun.

Cameron Hardwick took to Facebook to urge parents to check their children's drinks and labelled himself as 'irate' following his alleged mold discovery.

Haley became concerned after spotting the 'bits' in the carton.

Part of his post read: "So tonight after dinner our oldest asked for some "juice" (Capri Sun) as a treat for eating good, I grabbed one out of the refrigerator and notice something odd about it... it seems low in content, I take a closer look at the packaging and don't notice a hole or anything.

"So I shake it up some, only to find an unknown substance floating around in the package.

"To say we are irate would be an understatement... we don't give these to our children often but will NEVER again!"

Referring to Hardwick's complaint, Kraft Heinz - the company that owns Capri Sun - told Today.com that it was an isolated incident of mold growing inside the container.

"Although rare, it is possible for mold to grow inside containers of preservative-free juice drinks if the pouch is punctured in any way on its journey from our facilities to people’s homes," a spokesperson said.

"We understand it’s unpleasant, but the mold is naturally-occurring, just like if you left an apple on your counter for too long and mold begins to grow."

Hardwick later said the company had tested the pouch and found a 'micro-puncture' which allowed oxygen to enter and create the mold.
