Police in Pennsylvania are searching for 32-year-old Jason Robison after charging him with the fatal shooting of Trooper Landon Weaver.

Robison is accused of shooting Weaver at about 6:30 p.m. Friday, as Weaver investigated a reported violation of a protection from abuse order against Jason Robison.

Protection from abuse orders are usually given in cases of domestic violence.

The fatal shooting happened at Robison’s mother’s residence in rural Juniata Township, Pennsylvania, USA.

Trooper Landon Weaver had been an officer for less than a year and had married in the summer.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf paid tribute to the fallen trooper:

Landon will always be remembered for his bravery, his sacrifice, and his willingness to serve.

In the weeks before the shooting Robison posted some unusual statuses on Facebook.

The most poignant status was a post on December 17 reading ‘The only good cop is a dead cop,’ accompanied by a picture of a crashed police car, reports Penn Live.

The post has since been deleted, however, other unusual posts remain.

One post invites people to play Russian Roulette with him:

It is unclear whether this was intended to be a joke or a serious invitation, but it takes on a more sinister aspect knowing he is now being hunted for a suspected homicide involving a gun.

Another post from the day after his rant against police is a bizarre question about Batarang keychains:

Almost all of the comments on Jason Robison’s Facebook page are from enraged members of the public, who are following the manhunt.

Hopefully, Jason will be aprehended soon and Landon Weaver’s family can begin to get answers about his death.
