Grizzly Footage Shows ‘Real Life Shining’ As Elevator Pours Blood After Man Dies Inside

Gruesome footage has emerged of a truly horrific scene after an electrician employed on board a cruise ship was killed whilst working in an elevator this weekend.

Jose Sandoval Opazo’s death was described as a ‘real-life scene [from] The Shining’ by Matt Davis, a passenger who was holidaying on the Carnival Ecstasy ship with his family. Mr Davis caught the horrifying moment on film after he and his wife witnessed blood pouring from the elevator as they made their way to dinner on the 10th floor of the ship.

Mr Davis told Fox 4 Now

A crew member or somebody was inside or behind that wall when the elevator came down, and I don’t know what happened, but something terrifying happened.

Carnival later confirmed Mr Opazo’s death and in statement they said:

The company extends its heartfelt sympathy to the family and loved ones of our team member. Our CareTeam is providing support. Appropriate authorities have been notified and a full investigation into the cause of the accident is under way.

“One of the crew people from Carnival was trying to get people to go back to the restaurant,” said Mr Davis. “It was like time stood still, we could smell the blood. I can’t wait to get off the boat now.”

Miami-Dade Police are currently investigating Mr Opazo’s death. Don’t watch this if you’re squeamish.
