Hamerton Zoo Evacuated After ‘Serious Incident’

Hamerton Zoo in Cambridgeshire has been closed for the rest of today following a serious incident.

According to an image uploaded to Twitter police are present at the zoo along with an air ambulance.

As reported by the Daily Mirror, all guests are said to have been evacuated.

As yet the nature of the ‘serious incident’ is to be confirmed.

A police spokesperson said:

We were called around 11.15am to reports of a serious incident at Hamerton Park.

Officers attended the scene along with ambulance crews and MAGPAS [air ambulance].
