Harrison Ford has finally revealed why he punched Ryan Gosling in the face while they were filming for Blade Runner 2049.
At the end of last year Gosling revealed he received a punch to the face from Ford but never explained why.
It turns out it was ‘entirely Gosling’s fault’.

In GQ Magazine’s December issue, Gosling said the punch was a ‘rite of passage’, adding:
We were just doing a fight scene and, you know, it just happened.
But what was funny was, when it was over, they brought ice for my face, and Harrison pushed me out of the way and stuck his fist in the ice.
But it’s now Ford’s turn to speak to GQ and in the latest edition he said he punched his co-star because ‘Ryan Gosling’s face was where it should not have been’:
His job was to be out of the range of the punch. My job was also to make sure that I pulled the punch.
But we were moving, and the camera was moving, so I had to be aware of the angle to the camera to make the punch look good.
You know, I threw about a hundred punches in the shooting of it, and I only hit him once.
Ford said he made his way to Gosling’s dressing room with a bottle of scotch to apologise for the incident, but Gosling reportedly said he was ‘annoyed’ Ford only poured him the one glass before ‘leaving with the rest of the bottle’.
What did he f*****g expect, the whole bottle?
You know, I figured one drink would fix it. That was enough.
Punch-to-the-face aside, Ford was full of praise for his co-star, telling GQ, Gosling was ‘fun to work with’.
I like him a lot. He’s a smart guy. I mean, he’s a f*****g Mouseketeer — he’s been doing this since he was six years old or something. He knows what he’s doing.
To be a fly on the wall on this set…
