How To Make Korean BBQ Chicken Poppers



– 500g chicken thighs
– 1 tbsp garlic powder
– 1 tbsp chilli powder
– Salt
– 100g plain flour
– 3 eggs
– 250g breadcrumbs
– 60ml Asian pear juice
– 60ml soy sauce
– 2 tbsp lime juice
– 2 tsp korean chilli paste
– 1 tbsp ginger
– 1 tbsp garlic
– 2 tbsp brown sugar
– 2 tbsp sesame seeds


First, marinate the chicken in garlic and chilli powder and salt.

Then dip in flour and egg.

And coat in breadcrumbs. Fry at 180 degrees Celsius until golden.

In a frying pan combine oil, Asian pear juice, soy sauce and chilli paste.

Followed by the ginger, garlic and brown sugar.

Reduce by half.

Throw in the chicken poppers and coat in the sauce.

And top with sesame seeds.
