ISIS fighters in Syria attempted to directly attack Israel for the first time, and Israeli fighter jets obliterated the terrorist group.
The extremists opened fire with mortar rounds on an Israeli army patrol near Golan Heights.
The troops responded by opening fire on the jihadi truck before fighter jets raced to the scene and destroyed the entire vehicle.
All the ISIS members on board were killed and no Israeli fighter was harmed in the incident.
Israel has largely stayed out of the civil war in neighbouring Syria, and previous speculation has been that ISIS were trying to avoid adding Israel to its list of opponents on the ground.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commended the troops:
We are well prepared on our northern border and will not allow Islamic State elements or any other hostile elements to use the war in Syria to establish themselves close to our borders.
