Jake Paul Says He Will Retire Conor McGregor With Six Months Training

Jake Paul has revealed he is ready to spend six months training in MMA to fight Conor McGregor, who he will 'put into retirement'

Jake Paul has revealed he is ready to spend six months training in MMA to fight Conor McGregor, who he says he will 'put into retirement' when they eventually meet in the Octagon.

Of course, this is a pretty bold claim, but it is Jake Paul after all. The YouTuber-turned-boxer has made quite the name for himself over the past couple of years with a number of victories in the boxing ring, including beating UFC stars Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley.

But now, it seems as if Paul is ready to step into the Octagon... all in a bid to fight the notorious Conor McGregor.

The YouTuber has spent the majority of his boxing career trying to prize and goad the Irish fighter into the boxing ring with him, but after little avail, it seems as if Paul has offered to meet McGregor in the MMA world instead.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Paul has opened up about his plans to work and train 'tirelessly' to build his MMA skills in order to take on McGregor at his own game. "Who said I’m not worried? He’s been at it for 15 years," he said.

"But I know I have a great chance given I’m rising and he’s declining. I will spend six months, morning, day and night training with the best MMA coaches in the world and put myself in a position to win," he added, "I’m just built different."

And it seems as if Paul is equally as confident in his boxing skills as he is in his future MMA skills, as he said: "If you took a poll on us boxing, I bet the vast majority would have me beating him [McGregor].

"And if you took a poll on us in a MMA fight, fans will say Conor is winning that. So of course it would be sweeter to knock out his veneers in MMA."

The YouTuber also insisted that if beaten, he will donate his entire purse to all UFC fighters who make less than $50,000 per fight.

Conor McGregor is yet to respond to Paul's MMA offer.

And if McGregor loses? Well, Paul has voiced how he wants UFC President Dana White to introduce a healthcare scheme and increase minimum fight purses from $12,000 to $50,000.

"I relish finally having an opponent that has the same mental-warfare intelligence that I do. So let’s start now: Conor you have been selfish your whole life," Paul said. "Selfish to your family with your antics, selfish to your career with your partying and most of all a selfish fighter who has never tried to uplift his fellow fighters.

"You’re a rich little weirdo who poses, thinks cool watches and suits will make people like you. This is your chance to do for others. Accept my proposal and let’s do something that is bigger than us. I’m ready."
