Johnny Depp And Amber Heard Trial Wristbands Are Being Sold For Hundreds

Johnny Depp has successfully sued his ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation

Wristbands from Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's multi-million- dollar trial are being sold for eye-watering amounts on reseller sites.

In what's been one of the most talked-about cases ever, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor was able to prove that his ex-wife Amber Heard's 2018 article was, in fact, defamatory, and was awarded $15 million by the jury.

Depp received compensatory damages of 10 million dollars (£8 million) and a further five million dollars (£4 million) in punitive damages.

In a separate verdict, Heard was also awarded two million dollars (£1.6 million) in damages in a counterclaim against her ex over defamatory comments made by his lawyer Adam Waldman, who allegedly referred to her abuse claims as a 'hoax'.

You'd think, now that the trial is over, the world would continue to spin and people would move onto something else?

Well, it seems that those who fully invested themselves in the trial aren't done yet as they're willing to spend hundreds to snipe the laminated paper bracelets.

On eBay, for example, a 'Johnny Depp Trial Wristband Overflow' was sold for a whopping $375 (£298.94).

However, it gets worse...

TMZ say that they looked through 'tons of listings' and found some sellers who were looking for 'nearly 4-figures' for a paper bracelet.

To put things into perspective, a VIP Coachella tickets starts at $929 (£739.30) and going up to $1,119 (£890.50), as per Glamour.

While some have suggested that Amber Heard might struggle to pay the $10.4 million ($AUD 14.3 million, £8.2 million) in damages, it seems that the actor has two movies lined up and will be sure to receive a decent pay-day, one would think.

Even before the trial began, Heard had wrapped up the upcoming flick In The Fire, set in the 1800s, Marca reports.

She would be playing a North American psychiatrist who heads to a remote plantation to take care of a boy with ‘special abilities'.

Although there's been no word on the film’s release date, she is also set to star in Run Away With Me.

According to IMDb, the film is about an American in Paris who falls in love with a model.

Meanwhile, it seems Depp has been pretty active following the verdict and has been on the sesh with Sam Fender in Newcastle, along with hopping on stage with English rock guitarist Jeff Beck.

Now, it seems that Beck has revealed that he and Depp are set to release an album together.

The guitarist said: "I met this guy five years ago and we've never stopped laughing since.

"We actually made an album. I don't know how it happened. It will be out in July."
