Fans have explained why they queue outside the courthouse to watch Johnny Depp and Amber Heard's case in person.
The prolific case is being covered across social media platforms but a dedicated few even attending in person.
Now, as proceedings for the prolific case are in recess until 16 May, fans of Depp have explained why they camp out to get a spot in the courthouse, in Fairfax, Virginia.
It all started when Depp filed the lawsuit against Heard in response to a 2018 op-ed in which she described herself as 'a public figure representing domestic abuse'.

This description, Depp has claimed, implies that he abused her and is the centre of this current lawsuit.
Heard is countersuing Depp for $100 million.
As the pair appear in court to share their sides of the story, dedicated Depp fans camping out to watch.
Speaking to People the fans relayed why they go to great lengths to wait for wristbands to get inside the courthouse.

One such fan, Sabrina Harrison said: "I've never been to a public trial before. I've never stayed up overnight for anything in line, and I came at 12:45 a.m."
"I've never done something like this in my 46 years of life," she continued to say.
Others even crossed seas to see the trial, with Sharon Smith flying from the UK to Virginia to watch the trial, which started on 11 April.

Smith lines up from 1 am to get into the courthouse and while she's reassured her loved ones that she's 'fine' her family thinks she's 'having a midlife crisis'.
"They're like, 'She's put everything in storage. She's sold everything'. Well, I didn't sell anything. I left him with pretty much everything. 'She's just hopped on a plane, she's gone to America, and when we keep asking when she's coming back she's saying, 'I don't know. I don't know. I don't know'. I'm having fun."
While Smith is 'having fun' she did note that she'd racked up a pretty hefty travel bill.

During trial recesses, like the current one, Smith is staying in L.A. and that's been fairly costly.
"I've been coming back and forth from L.A. so you're looking at $600 to $700 each time, 10 hours of your life in the air. But yeah, hotel, food, drinks, about $10,000."
She's not the only one who racked up a heft bill with fan Ivan De Boer saying that she spent about $30,000 on expenses and 'took my whole year's vacation so I could be here for Johnny'.
And De Boer stands behind her decision saying she has: "No regrets. I'd regret it more if I wasn't here."
