Kevin Hart Says Will Smith Is In A Better Place Since Oscars

Kevin Hart has said that Will Smith is in 'a better space' after slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars.

Kevin Hart has said that Will Smith is in 'a better space' after slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars.

Who can forget what happened back in March, when Will got up on stage at the 94th Academy Awards and slapped Chris so hard, that it sent shock waves rippling across the internet.

But now it seems that he's moved past the incident in a healthy way - at least that's what Kevin says.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Kevin said of the incident: "Will is apologetic, you know, he's in a better space, of course, than what he was after."

Kevin went on to say of his friend: "People are human and as humans sometimes we make mistakes. So it's not about talking about the past, it's about acknowledging the present and doing your best to move forward.

"I can get only hope that the two of them find a way to find some solace in that and move past it."

And proving that he's nothing but good vibes The Man From Toronto actor added: "I just like good energy. I love to see people be the best."

Before confirming that he was also still on good terms with Chris: "I still love him, I still love Chris, and, you know, you can't judge a person by one thing.

"Ultimately, life goes on and people grow, so give him the opportunity to do so."

Kevin is referring to the joke Chris made that prompted Will to get on stage.

The joke went along the lines of saying that he was excited to see Will's wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who has alopecia, in the new G.I Jane movie.

G.I Jane is a 1997 film that notably features Demi Moore with a shaved head - yep, not one of his finest.

Still, the pair seemed to patch things up almost immediately after the ceremony, with Diddy confirming the pair had spoken after the show: "That's not a problem. That's over. I can confirm that. It's all love. They're brothers."

So, there you have it, everyone seems to be in a better place than they were in March and who knows, maybe the pair will co-host the awards one day?
